Based on the belief that the Academy is a place of work and leisure, the design focuses on developing an environment that stimulates interaction and participation among its users as well as its visitors. A place for making knowledge available across the borders of departments and disciplines.
To achieve this objective we have constructed a series of scaled multi-functional spaces . They allow for events to take place, they are informal and at times unpredictable. They intrude into the school space or curve into its Archeology. They allow for informal gatherings, open forums, exchange of information and casual encounters among students. They call for discourse and action as well as public input and participation. These play fields are in the heart of our proposal.
